While Netflix is cleaning up a bit in the horror section, that doesn't stop the platform from adding new content. This is the case for The Curse of La Llorona, or the curse of the white lady in French. This is the sixth installment of the franchise started by James An, The Conjuring.
And believe us, this little film is likely to cause you insomnia. La Llorona is the woman who cries, a sort of myth in Latin American culture. This film byhorror was directly inspired by the myth to create his story. This myth is quite common in the world under various names. In our country, we will rather speak about the white lady (not the ice cream).
Linda Cardellini plays the lead role. Some will remember her from Bloodlines.
The story is about a woman who has killed her children. At night, she goes looking for them on the shores of a lake. Her screams tear through the night and frighten anyone who hears them. Raymond Cruz (Breaking Bad) and Jaynee-Lynne Kinchen star in the film. In The Curse of the White Lady, the viewer is plunged into the Los Angeles of the 70s where a mysterious being is hunting children, raised by a single mother.
